ALL THE CLOUDS HAVE SILVER LININGS --

Merry Christmas, y'all! :)

It's Christmas but it doesn't feel like Christmas!
I blame the sun. Grrr! But the sun kind of makes me miss summer and all the giggles and thrills that came with it. Let's just skip January, move onto February (hehe, eighteen baby!) and then let it be Spring Break. Woot! Can't wait to whip out the shorts and tanks! It's weird 'cause normally I love winter but this one is so unsatisfying. Where's the snow? Hmmm. At least I watched Elf twice this break! "This is Buddy the elf, what's your favourite colour?!" Hehehehe. :) Bring on the Christmas dinner!

IF I AM LOST FOR A DAY, TRY TO FIND ME --

So Denise wants me to update this blog because I haven't touched it in a while. I will start off by mentioning how much i miss Den and Nam :( come back soon, you two! It's been really great to hear from the both of you!

Hmm, so what has happened with me lately? Well, we had singing telegrams which were okay. Nothing too superduper. I received "All My Life" and "I Want it That Way" :) hehehe. We also had our Grad Winter Formal which was a success! Hurrah!!! It was pretty fun. We danced, we sang, we laughed... and I bruised my leg. Uhm, what? haha! I keep finding random bruises on my body and I have absolutely no idea how they got there. Hmmmm. I also chilled with an old friend and that was fun... :) Hehe (lol, kaja!). Definitely some interesting things went down that night. Oh, and I watched "Me and OrsonWelles" with Kaja and Sadie <3 (Zac Efron is so yummy... hehehehe. )

SIX DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS!
whoa. I guess I ought to finish my Christmas shopping...! Heh. :)

THERE IS A LIGHT THAT NEVER GOES OUT

I feel like I have a million things running through my head and I can't seem to hold onto one thought for more than a minute. It's crazy. My head hurts a whole crapload right now... :(. Oi, who knew all this planning and whatnot could be so stressful? Oh well, it'll be worth it in the end. Hehe, my kitty is curled up in between my arms right now as I'm typing. Super cute. :) ... hmm, what's for dinner?

THEY START IN MY TOES, MAKE ME CRINKLE MY NOSE

I finished my writeup last night! I really really hope I'll still appreciate it when yearbook distribution rolls around. Anyhoosies, I know this may be redundant (I wrote something similar on my xanga), but I'm super stoked for the Christmas season! Ahh, just thinking about baking batches of cookies and decorating my living room... it'll be peachy! :) I am NOT, however, thrilled to be ditched by my two besties during this exciting month. I guess that's what I get for leaving you two last Spring Break. Namjams, I hope you have a wicked time in India (please ride an elephant) and I'm expecting you two gain at LEAST 10 pounds because of all the delicious food there. I'll be missing you tons! :( and Den... you don't leave for a while so I'm just going to pretend like you're not leaving at all! Mwuahahahhaa. :D This next week may be a bit overwhelming but I can get through it! Doodoodooo... where's the snow?

MY FAKE PLASTIC LOVE --

I don't know what to do anymore.
I'm just always wanting more than I know I can handle.
Life, can you just give me a second to
exhale?

HOUSE OF CARDS, YOU FALL HARD

So today I watched Sections at Minoru with Kai Yi and wow, I cannot get over how much I regret quitting skating. Skating was my whole life. I lived it, I breathed it... it was always there for me and sadly, I haven't touched the ice in years. I miss the sound of my blades scratching at the surface and the butterflies I'd get when they announce, "and representing Sunset Figure Skating Club is Zoe Liu". I miss wiping the ice off of my blades and I miss that feeling you get when you're stroking around the rink really quickly and it's as if nothing can stop you -- it's just you and the rink. I miss doing laybacks and beilmans... and I even miss the chaos of switching from rink Blue B to Gold B to Red A. I miss that flying-sensation you get when you're rotating in the air and I miss worrying about pointed toes, checked shoulders and firm landings. Was it fully rotated? Did I turn out? Was my dblaxel cheated? I miss worrying about all of that. I miss the monday through saturday practices that took up most of my day and the love and support I got from my coach. I miss it all. I want all of that back but I know it's too late. Those were probably the best years of my life.

Tip of the day: don't give up on something you love because in the end, you'll regret it. I know I do.

SHE'S GOT YOU HIGH

So, I've been thinking about this movie a lot lately and I'm not quite sure why. There's this one scene that I can't stop thinking about, and it's where Summer and Tom are running around Ikea playing with the sets and pretending like it's their home. It's adorable. I want a Tom Hansen. He's perfect in every way -- heck, I would even love a Joseph Gordon-Levitt if that were possible! According to my brother, the dvd just came out so I'm debating whether I should buy that or wait until the bluray is released... hmm. I may cave and end up buying both! Oh my. Tom Hansen, let me be your Summer Finn. <3

COLD NIGHTS WRAPPED IN ECSTASY

Rain. I've never really noticed how beautiful rain can be. It's amazing how little flecks of precipitation can make anything look that much more amazing. I feel like the rain and I have a love-hate relationship but tonight, my adoration is overwhelming. I can't wait until it starts to snow. Oh, those evenings will be the highlights of my winter. I just want to cradle a mug of hotchocolate in my hands and watch the snow fall flake by flake onto a lovely mound of powder. Cross your fingers for a white winter! I know I will. But for now, the rain will suffice. <3
